This Data Protection Notice explains how Nerpo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our app and related features. Nerpo is designed as a local travel packing and trip-planning tool, and its core functionality is built to work offline and store user data locally whenever possible. We aim to collect and use only the information necessary to provide and improve the app, protect the service, and support the features you choose to use.
By using Nerpo, you understand that some information may be stored on your device, and certain technical information may be processed to keep the app stable, secure, and functional. This notice should be read together with any in-app disclosures and platform permissions.
Nerpo does not use facial recognition, face detection for identification, biometric analysis, or any system that creates or stores face templates. We do not collect biometric identifiers or biometric information for authentication, personalization, analytics, or any other purpose.
If any image or media content is ever processed for a specific feature, it is processed only for that feature’s immediate operation and is deleted after processing is complete. We do not retain face data or biometric-derived information.
We use information only to operate the app, provide the features you choose, maintain performance, and support troubleshooting. We do not use your data for advertising, targeted advertising, profiling, sale, resale, or behavioral tracking across unrelated services.
We also do not use your information to train AI systems, optimize AI models, or generate marketing profiles. Any processing is limited to the app’s intended functionality and internal operational needs.
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
We do not share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party, except as strictly necessary for infrastructure operations under our control and instructions.
If we use third-party service providers for cloud storage, hosting, or basic infrastructure, they act solely on our behalf, under our instructions, and are bound by contractual obligations to protect data security and confidentiality. They are not permitted to use user data for their own purposes, redistribute it, access it independently, profile users, run advertising, or use it for AI training or model optimization.
We do not use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.

Because Nerpo is designed to keep most travel data locally on your device, you can also remove data directly from the app or by uninstalling the app, subject to your device and operating system behavior.

These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where applicable, least-privilege access for personnel, logging for security monitoring, and contractual protections with service providers.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, operating system account, and any backups you create.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to legal or technical limitations.

Cookies and similar technologies: Nerpo is primarily a mobile app and does not use traditional web cookies in the main app experience. If the app uses any AI-related functionality in the future, all AI processing will occur on our own internal servers only. We do not use third-party AI services to process user data.

Nerpo is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 17, we will take appropriate steps to delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
We may update this Data Protection Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our app, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we do, we will revise the effective date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or through other reasonable means.
Your continued use of Nerpo after an update becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated notice, subject to applicable law.
